Allergy alert: Ibuprofen may cause a severe allergic reaction, especially inÂ people allergic to aspirin. Symptoms may include: â€¢ hives â€¢ facial swelling â€¢ asthma (wheezing) â€¢ shockÂ â€¢ rash â€¢ skin reddening â€¢ bulersÂ If an allergic reaction occurs, stop use and seek medical help right away. Do not use
â€¢ if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any other painÂ reliever/fever reducer â€¢ unless you have time for a full nightâ€™s sleep â€¢ in children under 12 years of age â€¢ right before or after heart surgery â€¢ with any other product containing diphenhydramine, even one used on skin â€¢ if you have sleeplessness without pain
Ask a doctor before use if
â€¢ stomach bleeding warning applies to you â€¢ you have problems or serious side effects from taking pain relievers orÂ fever reducers â€¢ you have a history of stomach problems, such as heartburn â€¢ you have high blood pressure, heart disease, liver cirrhosis, kidneyÂ disease, or asthma â€¢ you are taking a diuretic â€¢ you have a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis â€¢ you have glaucoma â€¢ you have trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if
you are â€¢ taking sedatives or tranquilizers, or any other sleep-aid â€¢ under a doctorâ€™s care for any continuing medical illness â€¢ taking any other antihistamines â€¢ taking aspirin for heart attack or stroke, because ibuprofen may decreaseÂ this benefit of aspirin â€¢ taking any other drug
When using this product
â€¢ drowsiness will occur â€¢ avoid alcoholic drinks â€¢ do not drive a motor vehicle or operate machinery â€¢ take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs â€¢ the risk of heart attack or stroke may increase if you use more thanÂ directed or for longer than directed
Stop use and ask a doctor if
â€¢ you experience any of the following signs of stomach bleeding: â€¢ feel faint â€¢ vomit blood â€¢ have bloody or black stools â€¢ have stomach pain that does not get better â€¢ pain gets worse or lasts more than 10 days â€¢ sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 2 weeks. InsomniaÂ may be a symptom of a serious underlying medical illness. â€¢ redness or swelling is present in the painful area â€¢ any new symptoms appear
If pregnant or breast-feeding,
ask a health professional before use. It isÂ especially important not to use ibuprofen during the last 3 months of pregnancyÂ unless definitely directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems inÂ the unborn child or complications during delivery.
Keep out of the reach of children.
In case of overdose, get medical help orÂ contact a Poison Control Center right away.
â€¢ do not take more than directed â€¢ adults and children 12 years and over: take 2 caplets at bedtime â€¢ do not take more than 2 caplets in 24 hours
â€¢ read all warnings and directions before use. Keep carton. â€¢ store at 20-25Â°C (68-77Â°F) â€¢ avoid excessive heat above 40Â°C (104Â°F)
