Purpose

Cough Suppressant

Antihistamine

Uses

â–  temporarily relieves these symptoms due to the common cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: â–  runny nose â–  itching of the nose or throat â–  sneezing â–  itchy, watery eyes â–  cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation

Warnings

Ask a doctor before use if you have

â–  a cough that lasts or is chronic such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema â–  glaucoma â–  difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland â–  a cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus) â–  a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis

Ask a doctor before use if you are

taking sedatives or tranquilizers

When using this product

â–  do not use more than directed â–  avoid alcoholic drinks â–  marked drowsiness may occur â–  alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness â–  be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery â–  excitability may occur, especially in children

Stop use and ask a doctor if

• â–  nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness occurs
• â–  symptoms do not improve within 7 days, tend to recur, or are accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition.
• â–  new symptoms occur

If pregnant or breast-feeding,

ask a health professional before use.

Keep out of reach of children.

In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Directions

â–  do not take more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period â–  dose as follows or as directed by a doctor â–  mL= milliliter

adults and children 12 years of age and over:	30 mL (2 TBSP) every 6 to 8 hours, not to exceed 120 mL (8 TBSP) per 24 hours
children 6 to under 12 years of age:	15 mL (1 TBSP) every 6 to 8 hours, not to exceed 60 mL (4 TBSP) per 24 hours
children under 6 years:	consult a doctor.
